Who Am I to Speak for What I’ve Never Lived?

As a continuation of my artwork about authenticity,

this time I turn that authenticity toward myself.
How do I hide my emotions — and what remains visible when I do?

The authenticity in this series arises from the fact that each portrait is taken immediately after an intense personal experience.
After every event, I try to pose in exactly the same way — as you see here.
Each time, I attempt to suppress all emotion.

If, despite that effort, emotion or any form of expression still becomes visible in the image,
I know it was never searched for or staged —
it was simply too strong to hide.
That is what makes it genuine to me.

This series is a multifaceted investigation — one that can raise and answer questions on many different levels.
Beyond being a collection of “real” artworks, it revolves around a central question:
Do I have the right to speak about discovering the simplicity and beauty of life?

I personally find it easy to live in a beautiful world and genuinely believe that everyone can.
However, I have never been traumatized, never experienced war, abuse, or anything of that kind.
Of course, everyone has their own story, but mine cannot be compared to that of a war refugee.

Soon, I will challenge myself to undergo a series of intense or confrontational experiences.
The more I go through, the more “right to speak” I believe I will have.

The beginning of this project can already be seen.
In the work, I appear as a clown — a symbol open to interpretation.
To me, it represents the belief that I know and can solve everything,
while, in reality, my limited experiences make my advice as unreliable as that of a clown.

This is just one of the many meanings this movement holds.
It is a series full of emotion, motion, and perspective,
and it is up to you to discover these layers, both now and throughout my artistic journey.

With this series, I hope to gradually lose my “clown status.”
The development of the project will be visible across the internet,
but this website will offer the first glimpses.
